Description

If just create:
> zfs create -p rpool/ROOT/nosuchbe
beadm starts to show it as BE:
> beadm list nosuchbe
BE Active Mountpoint Space Policy Created
nosuchbe - - 31.0K static 2011-08-15 15:13

Moreover, beadm successfully activates it:
~> beadm activate nosuchbe
Activated successfully
