Dear illumos programmers,
I have found a resolution for my reported bug above:
I changed the [XDMCPServer] stanza in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf to the following sentences:
[XDMCPServer]
enabled=true
#port=177
listen-address=127.0.0.1
#key=
hostname=localhost
With above settings the VNC login over SSH through INETD on server side works fine again!
