The kernel vmm portion of bhyve should grow support for exposing RDTSCP/RDPID to the guest, along with the appropriate machinery for saving/restoring MSR_TSC_AUX on guest entry/exit. This would likely help guest performance, as rdtscp is often a preferred instruction for performing time calculations in userspace.
