non-critical group packages should go away
It's not useful for illumos to ship "convenience" group packages that presume the existence of a full indiana-like OS behind them. That's a distribution problem. We should obsolete them and let distributions deal with it.
It is possible, however, that some group packages are actually important, care should be taken to make sure that none are used as hooks in, for eg, TX zone installs.

These would be:
storage-avs.mf is confined to illumos packages, and useful, so should probably stay.
developer-opensolaris-osnet conveys useful information and should stay.
I can't currently find the TX groups that I was sure existed, so care should still be taken
