Description

On local display, logging out of Gnome results in either a solid white or solid blue screen with no content, as does rebooting the system from within Gnome (via Shutdown, Restart).

Computer is still responsive to remote logins via SSH or xVNC. However the only way to get login back on local display is to completely reboot the computer (e.g. reset button, reboot -p, power cycle, etc.).

This is with Intel i3-3220T (integrated HD2500 Ivy Bridge graphics) but problem exists with either the default driver (VGAText) or the VESA driver on OI 151a7

This is easily reproduced. My machine is hp spectre envy14 with core i5-3220 and Intel HD4000.

No support for Intel HD2500/HD4000 - but this may have changed.

HD4000 != HD2500?

If the Illumos team is now supporting Intel HD2500/HD4000 bug fixes, I'll gladly retract the closing of this ticket.

I have the same issue, but I'm uncertain it's tied with Gnome: I get it when I logout from FVWM...

This is my version:
5.11 oi_151a7

Won't fix. Intel HD2500 is not supported by the current driver.
