Jens Elkner provided a patch earlier this year to improve socket type detection on AMD CPUs, extending the support for family 0x10 and adding support for family 0x14. I extended this patch to support families 0x12 and 0x15, too, and checked with AMDs BIOS and Kernel Developer Guides to make sure everything is correct.

I tested this on different family 0x10, 0x14 and 0x15 systems with different socket types. I could not test on family 0x12 as I don't have access to any system of that type.
