Bug #4096
closedThe OpenIndiana installer does not accept multiple Solaris type partitions
0%
Description
When wanting to customize a computer with both Linux and OpenIndiana systems, a swap partition (code 0x82) is needed for Linux and a Solaris partition (code 0xbf) is needed for OpenIndiana, but the OpenIndiana installer refuses to install on that partition, outputting the message "There must be only one Solaris partition"

Jean - This is true, or you have to use the extended partitions - as done with Solaris 11.x.
Oracle S11.1 notes read still: "Note - If the system has existing DOS partitions, only one Solaris partition is allowed. You must first change the existing Solaris partition type to Unused before you create a Solaris partition within an extended partition."
