Description

Surprisingly the Intel 82801 disk controller appears to nt yet to be supported by OpenIndiana. This controller is supported by a Linux Live-CD dating back from 2007 (and later ones), but OpenIndiana sees no internal disk.

This controller has a RAID capacity for mirroring parts of the spinning disk to a SSD, but this feature is disabled in the BIOS. It is shown as :

pci bus 0x0000 cardnum 0x1f function 0x02: vendor 0x8086 device 0x282a
Intel Corporation 82801 Mobile SATA Controller [RAID mode]
CardVendor 0x103c card 0x1894 (Hewlett-Packard Company, Card unknown)

Attached are the outputs of scanpci -v, prtdiag -v and prtconf -v. More info as needed.
