Description

The machine uses "audiohd" with codec:
Integrated Devices 92HD81B1C5

Something's not quite right during initialization, resulting in an unpleasant noise when the audiohd driver attaches.

After a little research, it appears that all the Integrated Devices 92HD{71,75,81} codecs should have the NO_MIXER flag in the codec table. That makes this machine happy. Similar handling appears to be in place for these codecs in other systems, so I've gone ahead and added entries for the ones I could find information about. Patch attached.

Hi, I'm having trouble installing XStreamOS/illumos on Dell Precision M4500. I think our kernel is patched already with the NO_MIXER flag, though I receive the splat during DVD boot,
then everything stop, never going over installation. Did your "splat" problem cause boot hang before the patch? Or just the splat?

Any idea?
Did you use special options for boot, or bios settings?

Thanks for any help
