Green screen on startup, but nothing else
I was trying to install OpenIndiana onto a an old Shuttle SS51G with
2GB of ddr. It has a Celeron 1.7 GHz. I know this system is ancient at
this point. I think I bought it in 2006 or 2007. At an rate, OpenIndiana
gets past the first two questions about keyboard and language. If I use
the normal boot option, it starts to move to graphics mode, then flashes
the watch/pointer several times before settling on a Green background
with just the pointer. I can move the pointer around, but nothing else
happens. If I use the text install, it appears to install, although I appear
to not be able to get the disk working due to it being a 3TB disk and a
32-bit OS (I don't know if there is a solution for that, but I haven't found it).
At any rate, the graphical install just never completes. I know the setup is
likely old, and I suspect this kind of a bug won't get much attention (and
that's fine, I understand if the 32-bit stuff is getting crusty), but it DOES
say to report any issues with not being able to use the graphical setup.
I wanted to use the svcs -xv, but it doesn't appear that I can use any of these things.
There doesn't seem to be any kind of report. At any rate, I logged in with the default,
but at this point, I don't know where else to go for the install, because I don't know what
else needs to finish, or what else needs to be done. As I said, it does say to report when
