Description

file tool should provide "-b" option which forces file to skip file name:
Ubuntu Linux file output:

$ file /usr/bin/file
/usr/bin/file: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.15, BuildID[sha1]=0xe04b36145abc21d863652b93e6a0d069f7dfd3f4, stripped

$ file -b /usr/bin/file
ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.15, BuildID[sha1]=0xe04b36145abc21d863652b93e6a0d069f7dfd3f4, stripped

This options is used in quilt test suite and so it fails.
