Description

The Dell Poweredge T20 server uses a i217/82579 LAN chip with C226. I tried to add igb driver but I failed. I used the next link https://www.highlnk.com/2014/02/zfs-storage-server-build-and-configuration/. Unfortunately it didn't work for me or missing something. Here is the prtconf -pv part:
model: 'Ethernet controller'
power-consumption: 00000001.00000001
devsel-speed: 00000000
interrupts: 00000001
max-latency: 00000000
min-grant: 00000000
subsystem-vendor-id: 00001028
subsystem-id: 000005a6
unit-address: '19'
class-code: 00020000
revision-id: 00000004
vendor-id: 00008086
device-id: 0000153a
name: 'pci1028,5a6'
Could you look into this new issue? Thanks any help.

  • Target version deleted (oi_151_stable)

Use the e1000g driver instead.

Hi Ken

I tried with that on Omni and the kernel switch on and off. So the link up and down. Speed only 100Mbps if it on state.

I had a small local hardware bug. Now it looks the hardware good and Omni driver too. How to use that driver on Oi?
It seems to me Omni driver is newer. Where can I download it and how to add to Oi?

Hipster is working perfectly. Do you know which stable version appearing with this driver?
Thanks your suggestion.

A few months ago. oi_151_a9 is the most recent in the mainstream series.
Use oi_151a9 or hipster 2014.1 for any major testing and feedback for now.
