illumos gate

Currently, when dladm is used to create vnics and such over an interface that perhaps goes away for some reason, i.e. card replacement, board replacement, etc., those vnics won't be shown because the underlying device is now gone. Of course, they are still in the config, so it is possible to actually do something with them, like delete them. It would be good to actually see them, but in some "invalid" state. At least removing and re-creating them should be easier without having to touch dladm.conf.
