[RFE] Support "Reverse-Debugging"
Request for Extension: We would benefit from the ability to perform reverse debugging on our Kernel and User Code.
The GNU Debugger (7.0) supports "reverse debugging", see: http://www.gnu.org/software/gdb/news/reversible.html
with availability for Linux ('target record'), VMWare Workstation (for 'Linux Guest OS'), and others ...
Why do we want this and what can it do: http://www.sourceware.org/gdb/wiki/ProcessRecord/Tutorial also see the (puny)
VMWare Forum: http://communities.vmware.com/community/vmtn/general/guestdebugmonitor?view=tags&tags=replay#
There are three ways to go:
1. VMWare remote-gdb.
2. Implement a target "record" for OpenIndiana.
3. Native support.
