The DTrace mib provider provides useful probes for the same events for which we have stats in "netstat -s". However, the provider is not available in non-global zones.

Moreover, in the global zone, there's no way to know which zone (or netstack) the event fired for. This makes it a lot less useful for understanding networking problems on systems with multiple active zones.
