Description

After enabling IPv6 on my Router, it was configured to provide both a Global and Unique Local Unicast Address on the LAN interface and to advertise the internal DNS server.
Using Wireshark to capture the ICMPv6 Router Advertisement, I confirmed the DNS IPv6 Addresses were included in the packet.
After deploying an OpenIndiana Hipster GUI Live CD with as a VM under VirtualBox, Using nwam I configured the IPv4 interface with a static IPv4 address, netmask and default gateway, while the IPv6 was configured correctly with a Global, Unique Local and Link Local Unicast Address, however the DNS servers were not utilised automatically they required manual configuration.
