Problem:

Xrandr somehow badly calculates max possible resolution on laptop with extended display.

I'm falling into the same issue trough gnome-display-properties.

Hi Lubos,

Can you please make sure you have the following line in your xorg.conf in the "Screen" section:

Virtual 2880 900

Then restart. If it still does not work as expected, please attach your xorg.conf.
