Description

In prior releases, the live media contained a getting started guide accessed from the desktop of the installer media by way of an icon representing a Firefox html document link. Presumably this HTML document either existed on the live media itself, or was a link to a document residing elsewhere, such as the OpenIndiana Wiki. This missing guide provided step by step instructions for continuing with the GUI installation process. The GUI installer still references this document and encourages the user to read it for a better understand of the installation process.

We currently do not have such a document.

I suggest we do one of the following:

1) Create such a document and ship it with the installation media.
2) Remove the reference to the missing document.

The OpenSolaris project can be looked to for an example of what such a document might look like. See link from wayback machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20090704134612/http://dlc.sun.com/osol/docs/content/2009.06/getstart/solarisinstall.html
Older OpenIndiana live media disks might also contain a modified example of this document.
