Description

The DRM driver was ported from S11 (or S12) where they now have a "bitmap console", so they leave the display in graphics mode when Xorg (or whatever) does its last close on the DRM driver. In our case, the DRM driver probably should return the display to VGA text mode after last close (and perhaps on VT-switch too).

A similar issue was just fixed in OI. The display manager, lightdm, was terminating Xorg with signal 9 before Xorg was able to complete its termination procedure. The solution was to patch lightdm to allow a longer timeout after it had initiated Xorg termination with signal 15. The OI bug report was:
