Bug #8255
closedMNG source archives unpacked in dlc.openindiana.org/oi-userland/source-archives/
100%
Description
As learned from: https://openindiana.org/pipermail/oi-dev/2017-May/005351.html
as: "There is a mirror with archived tarballs at: http://dlc.openindiana.org/oi-userland/source-archives/
which can be used automatically if you set the EXTERNAL_ARCHIVE_MIRROR variable."
I seems that can be used as a workaround if some upstream archives are not available at the moment.
Accesible source code is great because distributing binaries requires availability of the source code from Openindiana project.
Problem with that page is that it displays web page of one software component (probably mistake done by that component's build process).
Possible solutions could be:
Use an landing page for dlc.openindiana.org/oi-userland/source-archives/ , without listing contents,
or web site administration settings should point to some other content when displaying that page
or that MNG source archive (or other) should not unpack themselves in /oi-userland/source-archives/ ,
and all archives are listed there when accessing..
Think last one seems to me like the best,
but it would require checking if also other upstream archives are actually unpacking their content also on oi-userland/source-archives.
