Bug #8431
Firefox 52.2.0 certificate isues requiring cert8.db removal
0%
Description
I have been experiencing issues with https certificates with Firefox 52.2.0 on OpenIndiana Hipster illumos-a40ea1a7d8, checking the Mozilla site I found a fix which was to remove the cert8.db file.
Unfortunately every couple of days I find that in order to access https sites I have to stop Firefox, remove the cert8.db file and restart Firefox. Firefox reports a certificate authentication issue so I presume the cert8.db file is becoming corrupt.
When I run Firefox on Linux or Windows with the same sites there are no certificate uses.

The problem with the cert8.db file possibly relates to the size of the file or the order in which certificates are stored within the file.
