Description

Hello, I installed OpenIndiana-148-dev on my laptop nearly half a month ago.
When I checked for package updates with Update Manager today, I got the following error "This is an Live Image. The install operation can't be performed".
I need your help for this even though I know there may be no updates at all.
I love this distribution, and it runs faster on my laptop than Solaris and OpenSolaris.
Thank you for your attention and best regards!

Sounds like https://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=17032
which was reported in pkg build 147, fixed in pkg build 149.

For people reading this, the workaround is to use pkg image-update. The bug only affects the packagemanager GUI.

This bug is still present in beta 151 of /dev-il that I am running.

After failed update failure due to another bug
(at server-side pkg disabling download below certain update speed..),
GUI Package manager and webinstall refuses to install any package anymore, saying it is an live image.
