Description

I have OmniOS on my QuantraPlex T21P-4U Storage Server. The problem is than I try to reboot server (type reboot) it perfectly resets, than BIOS start to write it's information (AMI logo, etc.), and at moment than BIOS must pass control to bootloader everything hangs and I have blinking cursor ('_') in the top left of the screen. And it will be on place untill I do not make full power cycle of the system. Same thing appears than I reset OS from BMC web interface.

This problem is common for all illumos-based OS (tried OmniOS, OpenIndiana).

Working with kmdb I found that on consconfig_dacf`plat_mousepath breakpoint system reboots perfectly and on consconfig_dacf'plat_stdinpath it hangs on load.

Over OSes (like CentrOS, Fedora) reboots perfectly.

Please update with which OmniOS you're running. You're likely running something later, but just in case, please put here "uname -a" and the contents of /etc/release of OmniOS.

My 'uname -a' request:

SunOS tom 5.11 omnios-r151022-eb9d5cb557 i86pc i386 i86pc

cat /etc/release:

OmniOS v11 r151022s

Copyright 2017 OmniOS Community Edition (OmniOSce) Association.

Also I tried last bloody release OmniOS - omniosce-bloody-20171109 and OI Hipster 2017.10 - same result everytime.

The problem was in motherboard BMC. Fixed by ignoring device during PCI bus enumeration.

could you try to test
http://apt2.dilos.org/dilos/isos/dilos-core-17-12-17_19-12-2.0.1.5.iso

i have more builds with 64builds and using gcc5 builds instead of gcc44.
will be interested in testing on your hw.
