Description

Title says it all! If we're going to use webrev, we should have some documentation for those used to just dropping a patch on a mailing-list.

Actions #1

Updated by Jeppe Toustrup almost 12 years ago

  • Assignee set to Jeppe Toustrup

I will take a look at this later on today, and I'll try to document what ever tools the developers should be aware of, which may help out in the development process.

Feel free to suggest other tools that might be of interest.

Actions #2

Updated by Jeppe Toustrup almost 12 years ago

  • Assignee deleted (Jeppe Toustrup)

I'm removing myself as an assignee, since more people involved with the development probably knows which tools are worth mentioning, and has more experience with using them.

This is something that is (very) briefly documented on http://cr.illumos.org and better documented in http://illumos.org/books/dev/workflow.html#webrev

The latter is an opensource book, the Illumos Developers Guide, with source on github: https://github.com/illumos/dev-guide
