Description
ntpsec (https://www.ntpsec.org/) is said to be a better maintained fork of ntp (http://www.ntp.org/) with less code, more modern build system, while still maintaining UNIX support. OmniOS CE has it https://github.com/omniosorg/omnios-build/tree/master/build/ntpsec and recently made it default NTP implementation in their image.
