Feature #11786
Updated by Joshua M. Clulow almost 4 years ago
In #11692 11692 we changed the default @ps@ (and other ptools) argument display behaviour: instead of the limited exec-time arguments, we now display the full current argument string. Some legacy software depends on the old behaviour, by making changes to the current arguments within the process but expecting to find the process by its original string in management tools. We should introduce a configuration file (e.g., @/etc/default/ps@) that can allow the default behaviour to be overridden on a per-zone basis to ease the transition for users and customers running legacy software on OmniOS and other platforms.
